Youth Street Camps equal Youth Street on the move. Whether they are overnight adventures or a full week of excitement, these camps create opportunity for attending staff to connect with the youth and strengthen friendships across the city. Through giving young people a chance to get out of their natural element and participate in activities they may not have experienced before, Youth Street Camps open up doors for rapid personal growth and copious amounts of fun!
5 Day Escape
Taking youth out of town and away from the ‘norm’ and driving in a double-decker bus down to the Gold Coast for a week of fun, 5 Day Escape is all about the big and the extreme! Running in the September school holidays, the youth enjoy activities such as surfing, going to multiple theme parks, huge dance parties, Gold Coast shopping, and heaps more. We also incorporate quality night programs that feature local bands, hip hop dancing, talent shows, and talk spots. Aimed at character development, the talk spots focus on topics relevant to young people and are an effective way Youth Street staff can impart and mentor youth from across the city.

Youth Street Outreaches
Youth Street Outreaches are always dynamic and life changing trips. With every outreach whether it be local or overseas, youth are given the chance to grow in their faith, get trained, and gain exposure to different cultures. In previous years, Youth Street Outreaches have visited the slums and orphanages of Thailand, run youth programs on the beaches of Elcho Island, and trekked to the villages of Papua New Guinea! With a goal to have their horizons broadened and perspectives changed, the focus of the Youth Street Outreach is to empower young people to share their faith, gain important life skills, and serve the needs of others.

Impact Summer
Christmas in Townsville is a wonderful season full of events like the “Strand Carols by Candlelight,” the combined churches “Stable on the Strand,” and Impact Summer. Appealing to youth from all different backgrounds and running the week prior to Christmas, Impact Summer challenges, equips, and empowers youth to grow in Christian values by putting faith into action in their own backyards. Impact Summer practically engages young people through small group settings, teaching times, local community outreaches (Stable on the Strand), and loads of fun. It’s one Christmas camp that’s not to be missed!

Deeper Camp
Youth Street’s Deeper Camp, run during April School holidays, focuses on equipping young people with important life skills. Each year always looks different and whether it be trekking down to Toowoomba to attend a city wide Christian music festival or heading to the Atherton Tableland lakes for water skiing and late night canoeing, Deeper takes young people on an adventure into nature, connects with them on a meaningful level, and helps equip them to handle life’s challenges. Setting time aside to ask the hard questions and talk about hot topics, Deeper Camp gives opportunity for youth to be encouraged and grow in their faith and leadership skills.
